The author of this letter is unknown. Although it's clearly signed "N. A. Leak" and the "Dear Sister" greeting would indicate it's from a brother, Elizabeth had no known brothers with the initials N. A.

The handwriting is beautiful and is probably that of a woman, perhaps Elizabeth's older sister, Priscilla.

Priscilla Leak Mackin had a daughter, Georgia, which could be the referenced "Georgian." Perhaps the boy who died was Georgia's son and Priscilla's grandson.

Since the letter was written Feb 11, 1910, the land questions could be regarding the estate of J. Tilman Leak, Priscilla and Elizabeth's older brother, who died Mar 27, 1909. Two of J. Tilman Leak's sons were named Walter and Albert which could be to whom the letter refers. J. Tilman Leak's oldest son, Memory Gordon Leak, could be the referenced "little mim."

If the original language of the letter is too difficult to understand, scroll down and read the translated version.

The envelop of this letter is addressed:
